As a victim of Identity theft, maybe I'm overly paranoid but anthing that makes it even remotely possible to steal stuff from you is bad.
How long before the Malware boys get hacking this? Not very long I bet.

But if they replace credit cards with phones how am I going to get ice off my windscreen? No way I'm using a 300 quid phone to scrape ice when I used to get a shiny gold ice-scrapper for free from Barclays.

Being France these things will be a big hit.
They embraced the whole smart card thing long before the rest of Europe being too lazy tocarry wallets. ;-)
And if its ahit for Orange in France, it WILL arrive here in the UK.
I avoid the whole wave and pay random people technology by not having an account with any company that forces me to use it... Yes barclaycard, I'm looking at you and I told you why..
Of course the time will come when I have no choice but for now....
