Harrods blings up Android tablet, quintuples price
If you've got more than two-and-a-half grand going spare and no taste, posh people's store Harrods has a custom Samsung Galaxy Tab with a back clad in 5700 Swarovski "crystals" that you can buy. Apparently, the thousands of high-lead glass fragments were glued on by hand, and placed around a Galaxy Tab logo done in "Jet Hematite …
Title
The Galaxy Tab logo reminds me of burning my name into wooden fences with a magnifying glass... when I was 6....
This surely proves some inverse proportionality between cash and taste?
posh?
Is it me (OCD) or is the logo pissed?
poor workmanship - tut tut
Was it just me??
Or did anyone else when they first saw the pic thought it said 'Galaxy Tat'
Wow!
Something that makes the "bling" iDevices look tasteful.
Competing
"more than two-and-a-half grand going spare and no taste"
Wow, they really are trying to muscle into Apple's market then!
Wonky?
Logo looks wonky to me. Therefore I'd pay £2000 max.
Wrong marketing target: Android users are smart
If Harrods was smart they would have gussied up an Apple tablet.
iPhans have a track record of buying form over functionality.
ruins the specs
surely thats gotta ruin the nice sub-400g weight of the device? I doubt it'll do wonders for the wifi or CDMA reception either...
bah this is nothing
I spent like 30k to gold bling up my AA-12 and 100k to throw diamond encrusted grenades. Of course that was in Army of Two 40th day, but just saying.
Urist McTablet says:
Decorate it with spikes of kitten bone, and an image of a dwarf surrounded by dwarves in microcline (relating to the raising of Urist McFayed to leader of the Overpriced Tat in year 985), and I'm sold.
Tablets? - they don't cut it for me!
For a little more than about 60 Quid I got a 64GB Eken-m003-android across the semi-permeable "Bamboo Curtain" separating Freedom Loving Hong Kong from Shumchum.
Of course, I'll never buy an Apple iPad - there's been far too much Foxcom - Shumchun District - blood spilt by their suicidal staff pushed beyond their endurance!
In all honesty, I can NOT say that it was a "knock out" buy, I still prefer the easier to operate Lenovo Netbook I reserve for travelling around the world.
I'll cover your Galaxy Tab with broken glass for only £500!
Just send it to me with your payment (cash or PayPal only, please) and you'll receive your own unique "Natural Random" design covering most of the back and some of the rest of it. Sorry, no logo but I can mask the original for an extra £25. Results may vary. Genuine high-lead glass guaranteed, I have several old CRTs to get rid of. And a hammer.
p&p and 'insurance' £50
Looking forward to your business, Nobby.
RE: AC
He should use an ipad then, they already have trouble with their Wifi connection
