Fifty quid?!
OK, £49. But still? I don't think I've ever paid for a mouse-mat, and am not about to change that (even given the presumption this provides better performance than any other matte surface for an optical mouse).
there are many things i would rather spend £50
a blow job for example.

As for the gaming pad ... I have no mouse pad at all, so the surface is great ! standard mouse etc ... still top kills at my old age ...it's not the tools ... it's the technique :D
