Young Boozer seeks Alabama offie office
It's come to our attention that a Young Boozer is standing for Alabama State Treasurer - a position of immense responsibility which the "active Eagle Scout" Birmingham native will doubtless handle with all the fiscal sobriety the post requires. Boozer's pedigree is impressive: he comes from a long line of Young Boozers, …
What time is it?
>Well, it's Friday, so in honour of Young Boozer we're off right away to sink a few pints to the best of >our abilities
It may be Friday, but it's 9.45 a.m. and the sun isn't far over the horizon, much less the yard-arm. It's a hard life, working for el Reg! (Actually, if you're sinking pints at this time in the morning I hope el Reg offers an excellent staff health care plan...)
Good Effort, Lester
Only 8:02am and it's time for that friday beer. I'm so jealous!
Not good enough
El Reg obviously hasn't heard of Mr Randy Munter

Although for a laugh, be sure to sign this Chav's No 10 petition wanting celebrities to give babies 'normal names' with a comedy name

I'm amazed
No one has mentioned our old friend Randy Bumgardner yet

Good luck to him.
Mind you, we've had a number of Old Twats in office for quite some time now....
Over the yardarm...
...is actually about 11 in the morning...

so the Reg staff aren't too bad.
And besides, it's a hot day, so a nice, cooling pint of, ooh, just about anything, would slide down a treat.
Enjoy!
Clearly...
... El Reg are using the Acme Movable Yard Arm which can be set such that provided there is any sun in the sky, it will always be over the Yard Arm! :-)
@Over the yardarm
Brilliant piece, there's even a reference to bunt. I wonder if it's silly?
While in California ...
... one of the gubernatorial candidates has the delightful surname of Poizner, (pronounced "poisoner"). Think I'll stick with the boozer.
While in California ...
That's about as bad as an ancestor of mine... last name of Bumpass, sometimes spelled Bumpas. Apparently some distant relatives with that name are still around, as is the village of Bumpass, VA. No, there's no IT angle at all.
Paris... because I'd like to have her in the family
