Makes too much sense, and looks like it might benefit us end-users. That's the kiss of death, surely?
So what about the draconian copyright laws that MPAA and RIAA want to impose on th EU?
They can strengthen data protection laws as much as they like; but what's the use when the British Government never prosecutes for breaches of those laws!
And given that the biggest highest profile culprits are government departments with such a cavalier attitude, it's not likely to change.
