Eucalyptus is being used. Ubuntu is not. At least the article doesn't assert the "Linux" used is actually Ubuntu. Just because Eucalyptus works on Ubuntu doesn't make them "Ubuntu's Koala food". Seems Ubuntu gets a whole lot of cloud love on el reg when they really don't deserve it. Ubuntu... the Kevin Bacon of el reg's cloud coverage.

NASA already use cloud computing
the BeAMartian.jpl.nasa.com site (and the Pathfinder Innovation Challenge) already run on Microsoft's Azure ... but that's just working quietly away without any fuss helping educate kids and encourage the next generation of scientists....
what's actually running in Nebula or is this just the Federales pissing money away so they can justify having cool job titles?
