El Reg PARIS team unboxes some toys
El Reg's Paper Aircraft Released into Space (PARIS) team has been busy acquiring some toys for our world-beating attempt to boldly put the Vulture 1 paper plane where no paper plane has ever been put before. PARIS: Sponsored by Peer 1 While work on the Vulture 1 release mechanism, which will separate the vehicle from the main …
Re an additional piece of main payload kit.
Playmobil crew, I hope.
Or
Or in a different country.
I have no idea where it is but it looks very much like the hills near Alicante, Spain. That said, as you used "Route", I suppose it might be US.
Ideally, I would watch the whole thing before posting but... It's Friday and I have beer to drink :D
@JonJonJon
I think you'll find that where he's driving there isn't a right or wrong side of the road.
Phone call
Wife: "Darling? You'd better be careful on the way home. I've just heard on the radio that there's a car going the wrong way down the motorway."
Elderly husband: "One car? There's DOZENS of them!"
FFS!
Anyone know how to get chicken salad out of the keyboard?
"like somewhere in spain"
I'm being obtuse I guess, but it starts off saying "Castille y Leon -- wellcome to Avila"?
Beertime?
Do I earn a beer saying it's the Avila to Puerto de Castilla road?
(Paris, cos she's as clueless as me!)
closer
Roughly halfway between Oporto and Madrid if you've got a map,
I reckon its about here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=piedrahita&sll=40.830437,-4.191284&sspn=0.692038,1.061554&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Piedrah%C3%ADta,+%C3%81vila,+Castille+and+Leon,+Spain&ll=40.25228,-5.688772&spn=0.043627,0.066347&t=h&z=14
Could be turning on to the N-110 out of Tornavacas ("turning cows"?) as its about 30 km from Piedrahita on the road to Avila
high-resolution stills are better
even though videos are good, I find high-res seq of pictures to be better. As the object falls, there will be little that will change in the scenery (in a dramatic way), so high-res stills would be a lot better. (even if you take a video, you will pause it to look at the scenery)
N110, I think
It's a bit of a give away from the street signs, although it might be another road around there. I'm having a beer in any case.
It's in El barco de Ávila, Castille and Leon, Spain
It's the road the AV-941 taking a right on to the N-110

Spain, for sure.
Hi, the second video was filmed (or photographed) in Spain, somewhere on a road between Ávila and Salamanca.

PD: Do tankards of ale com in digital, downloadable format?
Ok, what are you doing in Spain?
Think of your budget, man!
And close to the mountains where the paragliders fly? I thought the launch vehicle was an unmanned balloon?
<-- since you don't have a balloon icon
Re: Ok, what are you doing in Spain?
We have an Iberian bureau. Lester lives there.
Lester's place
First - can we all come and stay, and
Second - is he still fighting the extradition?
Lester lives in a cupboard?
Iberian bureau = spanish cupboard?
Is Lester really Harry Potter and living under the stairs.
I'm now very confused.
Beer
I've earned a shandy, by coming close to the FlyCamOne route, but will keep quiet for those partaking in this geographical drinking game!
Route
Not sure where it is but I'm sure I've crashed and burned there on WRC II on the Playstation.
That's Spain
First one is in "El Barco de Avila", Castilla Y León
Second one seems to be the road between Avila and Salamanca (the N-501 maybe?), again Castilla y León
Interesting
Well the Canon Hack was anyhow, I never knew you could do things like that with a modern digital camera.
N110, Castilla y Leon/Extremadura border to Tornavacas
AICMHTFA, or I would if it hadn't been stolen from under my nose
u tub channel
good move, the podcasts are great, but a video channel would be nice too.
The driver of that silver car has had it,
if the Spanish plod have better image enhancement capabilities than my copy of Photoshop 3.0, cos he is all over the centre solid white line.
For fuck sake man, speed up!
I'm sure I saw some Spaniard with a wheelbarrows overtake you impatiently!
