Apple's iPad - 'Will It Blend?'
Apple's iPad, released Saturday, has been scrutinized by hundreds of reviewers, disassembled by iFixIt and others, and fiscally analyzed by Wall Street, but it wasn't until Monday that the most pressing question about the "magical and revolutionary" device was answered. That question, of course, is: Will it blend? 'Will It …
a waste of money, but....
OK it blends. A fitting end to the ipad and most other consumer gadgets. (except for the ones that I use of course :) )
Paris cos she likes to blend - from what I've heard!
Don't think its a waste
Over 1 million views of an ad that isn't forced on you (like in a TV show) for a mere $499.... Sounds like great value. Can't get that kinda value from any ad company I know of.
lol
Love that site.
I was impressed with the fact you could see the keyboard through the cracked and bent screen
Will it sell
is the more important question..
It shouldn't, but there are far too many retards around that will buy anything if it's got white plastic and an i in the title...
RE: WIll it sell
You mean "M'I'crosoft products", like "W'I'ndows" and "Off'I'ce?
Re: W'I'ndows
... but it has to be in white plastic, too... Sorry.
I knew there was a use for the iPad!
Every tech disaster has a silver lining.
Great
Somehow that site never gets old, and I had my fingers crossed they would do an iPad.
not everything...
"It shouldn't, but there are far too many retards around that will buy anything if it's got white plastic and an i in the title..."
Shame itv's profits are low. They need more white plastic
A much more entertaining and scientific approach
that the video that emerged over the weekend of a bunch of youths assailing their iPad with a baseball bat and their feet. Didn't seem to work too well afterwards, mind you
Twice as strong as the previous model
Hmm, good decision Tom....http://www.blendtec.com/willitblend/videos.aspx?type=unsafe&video=ipad shows twice the durability, twice the brandability as their previous model.
Now with more smoke too !!!!
Cheating ...
if you have to bend it first, which also pre-weakens(TM) it. Where's the Wide Mouth Blendtec model?
Not sure I'd buy a food preparation appliance from a company that is shredding heavy metals on their premises.
More importantly
I think that Blendtec should patent the folding iPad!
It's a cracking idea.
If you listen carefully
You can hear the collective fanboi sobs carried on the wind......
Fucking redneck
What a fitting story for the 'el reg demented reader base.
I foretold it would...
...happen: iPad versus Will It Blend sketch, 3 months ago (give it or take). Search your beloved El Reg, you shall find my predictions.
Nothing to see here, move along...
Hm...
Shouldn't the guy be using a mask or something when blending electronics? I mean, there's nasty stuff in there, heavy metals and all, and I bet some of it is flying in that dust that comes out...
aluminium back and batteries removed
The aluminum back and the batteries were removed for this - Fail
I want the batteries exploding please...
Phoney baloney
It's easy to spot the cutaway after the initial try at breaking the iPad in two. Chances are they just blended the screen or its plastic cover. It would have been easy to rip off the plastic once the unit's frame was bent enough.
No it won't
At least not without partial disassembly to remove the bits that don't. This kind of cheating means I won't be rushing out to buy a Blendtec for all my iPad blending needs. How many years of evolution has it taken to get to this?
