I took the package in 2005, and thank &deity. that I did. It actually hurts me that the writer of the article thinks that only now are the cuts hitting muscle; they have been losing genuinely talented people since the 90s.

Many redundancies across IBM

According to the Alliance website, there are many redundancies across IBM US today:

and also reports of redundancies in IBM Australia. In IBM UK, the 'Redundancy by Stealth' programme from last year is still not complete, with 800+ employees being forced into early retirement without compensation. See the debate in the UK Parliament for details:
