The French are obsessed
They haven't won their own race since 1985. Lance Armstrong gives them all nightmares.
Someone besides the French should be in charge of this. They are too angry to be impartial.
French authorities have issued an arrest warrant against US cyclist Floyd Landis over allegations he hacked into an anti-doping lab computer. Landis, 34, was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title win after he tested positive for abnormal levels of testosterone. Landis appealed, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) …
Beats the cookie-eating lardmaster crackers anytime.
Unfortunately....
"It appears to be another case of fabricated evidence by a French lab who is still upset a United States citizen believed he should have the right to face his accusers and defend himself,"
...he is also a flag-wrapping idiot.

"Someone besides the French should be in charge of this."
Why? It is their race, their laboratory and their rules.
No, they are just being careful. There are a lot of American athletes that cheat (think baseball for example).
Why don't we just make an anti-olympic combined discipline of hacking, legal protests, sport medicine and equipment tuning. I nominate Larry Ellison to the inaugural hall of infamy for four years of litigating over four hours of sailing. However, former greats from cycling, track and cross-country skiing have their corners reserved.
The McKinnon case in reverse. A merkin wanted for possibly hacking into 'puters in Europe. No extradition of course but surely they'll just ship him over voluntarily .. non?
"The judge traced a network of hackers back to the ringleader."
"It appears to be another case of fabricated evidence by a French lab who is still upset a United States citizen believed he should have the right to face his accusers and defend himself,"
Surely he has precisely that opportunity, all he needs to do is go to France and then they will give him the opportunity to face his accusers and their evidence, provide his own defence and set the matter straight.
So, if he really is interested in claiming his rights he needs to get his arse over to Paris post haste.
Perhaps he finds the chemicales de Francais "tout suite" for him in Paris?

The right to face his accusers and defend himself? No worries then Floyd, just turn up for the court case...............
Should be renamed as a sport. It has almost nothing to do with athletic endevour, and everything to do with chemical experiments.

What a strange statement by the head of the laboratory. Landis is supposedly leading a network of hackers, who are bent on accessing doping test results instead of running botnets. Maybe the guys running the lab are on the good drugs...
