Denmark is one of the first countries to fully embrace the e-car vision of Shai Agassi's Better Place, so it wasn't much of a surprise to see the leccy car infrastructure company show up at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this week. Pride of place on the Better Place stand went to a group of advanced …
Do they plan to corner the re-charging supply market
and therby become the king-DONG of it?
in other news
Festive travellers are in for some serious tailbacks within Central London (moreso than usual).
A driver braking hard to avoid the car in front, skidded on ice and crashed into the newly installed Car Charging station.
Police have described the incident as a Dong Ding.
that in a previous article on DONG power there were no Paris icons. And that an article on the Renault Flatulence does not mention wind power.
This is not the DONG you're looking for...
Vietnamese poker game?
As the Dong is the Vietnamese currency, it must be time to resurrect the old joke about the Vietnamese game of poker which abruptly ended when someone said "right, let's have your dongs on the table"

But by the time of writing this, EL Reg couldn't be arsed to write anything about it.
Seems Danes are a bit slower than the Finns, who, in my experience, are about the slowest folks on the planet. Hare --> Tortoise --> Finn (Mika Häkkinen excepted, natch - but even so, he was only a Sunday driver. That's when the race is held, ain't it?) But, they always seem to get it done first time, on schedule, and right.
DONG creates global pollution
DONG is building a waste-to-toxins factory in Dublin. This will pump 650 thousand Tonnes of CO2 into the air each year. In addition the world will be polluted with microparticles and even more dangerous nanoparticles (cancers, heart problems; unmonitored pollution; cute wee hoor Irish governance standards). Dong is the cynically innocent public face for New Jerseys waste industry and proven dioxin releasers, Covanta (Rutgers Law Centre).
Dong-covanta destroy energy (embedded in burnt products).
Dong employees told lies to members of the public.
I think there's competition innit?
What about WHANG ltd? (Wholly harvested arsehole natural gas)
charging posts - broken off soon in a suburb near you
I give the average charging post/cable a lifespan of 3-4 months before being smashed by local feral yuffz.
Extra points for breaking off the car connector in a way that the entire body has to be removed from the vehicle and replaced.
Will eventually peter out
As always, DONG power sounds great when you're young and full of it as you can take several trips a day. But sadly after mid-life you are down to a couple of trips a week that need to be well planned. Or you have to start a chemical dependency trip which could last up to 4 hours.
