1080p

Seems a little perverse that 3D laptops are supporting 1920x1080 resolution when the best nVidia can manage with their recommended external monitors are 22" 1680x1050 displays.

WTF?

Annoying stickers everywhere

Why oh why all this annoying little stickers just south of the keyboard? Who ever thought users would like it? Especially after a month or two, when they start peeling off? This one seems to be a veritable feast of multicoloured stickies.

Probably a good way of hiding the overall rubbish design of a laptop I guess; say what you want of their stuff, macs never have these tacky rubbish hanging around.

@Marvin the Martian

So agree with you. This trend of placing hard to remove stickers right where your wrists are going to rub is annoying. What is wrong with the box ? Leave my laptops free of stickers please.

Thumb Up

slobber...

now this is the biz... Forget those silly origami thermal holes, asus...

@WTF

Huh? Cool 3d kit, and all you can think of is the stickers? They come off very easily, especially from the rubberized palm rests on the G51 series. How that compares to a Mac I don't know: I look for gear based on the specs (quite good on my G51) not the presence or absence of stickers.

Flame

Maybe but.....

If this costs over $1,000 then it is not worth it.

Unhappy

Active-shutter glasses are EXPENSIVE

Which is why you're only going to get one with the machine. I hope ASUS can mass-produce enough to bring the cost down.

15 people? Not likely..

That's assuming the technology has been tested with more than one pair of shutter glasses simultaneously - which I doubt.
