Who takes the credit for this?

..they may be gone but my INBOX is still ravaged by hundreds of new SPAM messages selling me

all the usual range of crap.... if only everyone didnt respond to cheap meds,drugs,property deals or interesting financial shenanigans then SPAMers would die off pretty quickly! ;-(

Shouldn't that be "Shane Atkinson was fined NZ$100,000 (US$71,870) while his partner-in-spam Roland Smits was ordered to hand over NZ$50,000 (US$35,915)"?

Yeah those fines will stop them!

Wow those fines will be a serious lesson to all spammers worldwide. I'm crap at maths but that's a fraction of what they must have earned, and that does not take into account the sheer cost and inconvenience of carrying all that spam across the interwebs.

Crime really does pay then?
