Agreed. The BBC has become an absolute shambles in recent years, becoming more and more sensational, and far less rational. If there's an issue to be discussed and they bring in guests, sometimes they don't even bother bringing in both sides any more. A recent example springs to mind of yet another "save the children" initiative. They brought in one man who supported it, and the mother of someone who died.
Because everyone knows that if you want reasoned, well thought-through, unbiased opinion, ask the mothers of the departed. BBC News now makes me shout at the TV on a regular basis (ooh err, I'll be on SYB before long) and Panorama is a fucking joke. That's why on a morning I watch BBC news while my hair dries, then watch Al Jazeera over my breakfast. And to be honest, the quality of the presenting and debate on AJ is just....better.*
*Not imagining for a second that they don't have bias either, but watch the two and contrast them. There's a marked difference.
