"advice on keeping your house warm"

Paris Hilton

Oh joy. Do they really need to launch a freeview channel telling me to turn the heating up and shut the windows?!

I know the state of society is declining et al, and people are getting stupider, but really, is it THAT bad?!

Surely they have better things to spend money on in the middle of a recession?

Paris, cos even she knows how to keep warm.

Teletext - as G Ramsay might say....

Thumb Down

"Phuq Me!"

Is this an attempt to be right on, in a very vintage / retro kind of way? Who the phuq still uses teletext?

And given its and Freeview's lack of backhaul, it's less useful than a website.....

Isn't teletext about to take an early bath in the next while, given the digital switchover, so why not just have put in on Freeview (if they really had to)?

Have things moved on, or

Thumb Down

will some under-worked, final-salary pensioned civil servant be paid to design "bullshit graphics"* to liven up any info that an equally irrelevant governement department wants to punt?

* try to imagine the kind of crappy blocks that a ZX81 could have produced, if only the ZX81 had supported colour.

CEEFAX

CEEFAX / Teletext is a far better system than the limited text service available on digital TV. Most other countries have kept a teletext service on digital TV but the UK appears to be determined to kill it off.
