* Branson brand floats into mobile broadband

Anonymous Coward

Finally...

Alert

Virgin Mobile have jumped on board and now offer mobile internet, however I am baffled why they have come in late and already priced themselves out of the market?

Afterall, you can get the same plan with 3 on PAY & GO, therefore there is no need to sign a lengthy 18 month contract like there is with Virgin!

Maybe offering 2 plans would of been better:

LITE: £10/mth, 3GB Usage, 18 month contract

MAX: £15/mth, 7GB Usage, Wifi Access, 18 month contract

How long till...

Vergin' on the ridiculous

Virgin Mobile are no longer worthy of the Group name in my personal experience. Their admin is unbelievable. Their MD takes 2 weeks even to acknowledge correspondence and an unknown time to deal with issues. Unknown, because nothing has happened yet.

Since switching things to their VirginMedia name I have received several communications regarding a 3rd party's Broadband/Phone bill and I'm not even a customer of that service. It got better (not) when they wrote to me as their customer telling me how to fix my error. Pathetic.

Time for Richard Branson to save his brand's name and reputation unless they can get back to concentrating on the basics.

Thumb Down

Not content on ripping off existing home broadband users, now they plan to screw mobile users to. The price they are asking for what you get is stupid, can you imagine the customer service calls for going 1KB over your 3GB limit and getting charged another £15 per GB. I suppose somebody has to pay for Branson's space fantasy.

>>Virgin helpfully provided us with a comparison table of its offering verses the competition, though it seems to have forgotten to include T-Mobile in its comparisons.

I think the word you're looking for is 'versus'.

Re: Branson Brand Floats Into Mobile Broadband

I was hoping when Virgin released their Mobile Broadband it would be a Pay as you Go offer like they have in Australia. Oh well, for anyone interested in the Pay as you Go Mobile Broadband offers that are available I have a post on my Blog:
