Is this the same EU that introduced the WEEE directive ending the single market.
The ROSH directive
The Waste Packaging regulations
The REACH regulations
The .....
Life was so simple before the EU sat down and thought of new laws to make.
The EU has done more to drive out of business SME's than any government ever has. Most of the regulations are so onerous, and are binding without diminimus that SME's cannot afford the costs of ensuring compliance, consequently the sell out to conglomerates.

Any mention of the EU or the BBC on this site is guaranteed to flush out the Daily Mail reading, knee-jerk reactionaries - brain in neutral and mouth in motion. They don't even take the trouble to read the god-damn article they're commenting on.
McReevy is prompting member states to carry out a major review of accounting directives with a view to eliminating unnecessary and onerous regulations. What the feck is wrong with that? The man is a bureaucrat, he's doing what he's paid to do on behalf of citizens of the EU.
Let's just hope that when member states are reviewing the regulations they are mindful of the carnage caused by the high-rollers of unregulated free markets, people like Thatcher, Reagan, Bush, Blair and Brown. These are the gullible politicians who eagerly swallowed all the bullshit about "onerous and burdensome regulations" and in so doing, unleashed the so-called Masters of the Universe on us.
