It's going to really suck when the Chinese cut off outside sources of PC engineering and all the western companies that provided it. China demands that it's people and companies provide. When they can then outside sources are restricted or cut off entirely. China's engineers will be good enough for to satisfy the Chinese Gov's demand for this in the near future. To the western companies...good luck. You are going to need it. I just hope you haven't totally burned your bridges at home.

I got burnt by Dell years ago- via an outsourcing contract with a company in Ireland (those were the days).......Its such a relief that I no longer have any ties whatsoever to them......... To tempemeaty- yes, things will get interesting when Chinese manage to get to grips with the challenges (which isn't far down the road- as they already have home grown RISC chip fabrication up and running very successfully........) Do we get WW3- the US against China- with most of Europe sitting on the sidelines? Errr- make that WW4........
