As a b3tard myself, I fully endorse this.
Serves the thieving so-and-so(s) right.

... as I can't be bothered to keep checking back, will El Reg let us know if they *ever* twig what's happened.

I might wear specs, but I'm no Mr Magoo....
"Eagle-eyed readers will notice the words "vote Labour" underneath the coin."
I spied "B3TA MEN" instead. Do I win a jizz-covered pound for spotting the deliberate error ?
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 11:54 GMT
Ignore that. Apparently I'm more of a Mr Magoo that I thought...
Here's to anonymous posting in the future !

The comments are truly hilarious
I thoroughly enjoyed reading through them :)

It's about time the conservatives took a firm hold of their members.

Look under the coin, not on the rim

it's vandalising the internet with crudely drawn penises
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 12:29 GMT
Is this a "proper" conservative website? I only ask, as they seem to have a sense of humor:

What a bunch of stupid right wing arsewits.
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 12:42 GMT
Just when I'd thought of something puerile to add to the splendidly long list of puerile comments too!
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 12:42 GMT
They've just pulled the plug on the whole page. And just as I was about to impersonate Daniel Hayward to demonstrate how insecure the comments are.
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 12:42 GMT
Looks like the site's just gone down - I guess somebody spotted it. boo

Looks like the game is up... the page was 404 for a while and now appears to be 'invite only'. Shame, some of the comments were pure class...
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 13:00 GMT
That's just gonna make it even messier no??
Posted Tuesday 25th September 2007 13:00 GMT
I had it on my screen, laughing heartily, send a link round the office, then wham, it's taken down. I refreshed my page and lost it, now i'm searching through HTML cache to try and find it, but i think i've lost it all - if anyone knows how to retrieve it, please post up - it was on my screen before i refreshed the page.
Quite possibly the funniest slur on conservatism i've ever read.
All hail the power of El Reg!!!

Bollocks, seems to have gone. I've kept a backup of the comments though, which will naturally be appearing on my site shortly.

It was taken down at 13:37 lol. Shame.
On another slight NSFW note, here's an amusing Microsoft Partnership oops/cockup that was shown to a collegue of mine.

It seems that what was on that coin has left another Tory minister with egg on his face.

Title should either be "Conservatives' cock-up (n.)", or "Conservatives cock up (v.)". Entertaining article, though, of course!

Blimey, I should think that even an eagle would have trouble spotting the "vote labour" phrase (assuming it could read). I only saw it vaguely by loading it an image editing program and jacking up the gamma/contast to excessive levels. Even then, I probably wouldn`t have recognised it as what it actually is, unless I`d already been told.

I'm a b3tan, and I approve of this act... but it needs to be noted that this was posted by one hell of a lurker:
