Spamford^wSanford Wallace has been a sociopath as long as I've known him - sadly, since his CyberPromo days. He mail-bombed my wife back then, because she had the temerity to send him an email from her AOL account asking to be "unsubscribed".

That's what got me into the email security business.

I have no sympathy for the nutjob. He's "deeply apologized" and "sincerly promised" to get out of the spamming business for a looong time - and he always falls back on his old ways - hijacking accounts, spamming - I'm surprised no stolen credit cards were involved.

With luck, MySpace wlll get a multi-million dollar judgment against him, just as they did with Theglobe. Not that they'll ever be able to collect - he's surely as paper-poor and judgement proof as always. Perhaps his long history of criminal behavior, plus the monetary scope that MySpace should be able to assign, will interest the FBI in adding him to their list of spammer criminals they are chasing,.

Sociopaths like Wallace are as incurable as pedophiles. Castration or prison are the only approach for the latter. Unless someone can successfully ban Sanford from any Internet contact, either directly or through agents or associates, prison's the only approach that will work for him.

Banning him is not going to stop him and his promises mean nothing, he will simply move on to the next site and do the same again.

I suggest that moving him to a small atoll in the middle of the pacific with no telecomms might be the only way to stop him

Hmm, "paper" poor after evidence of criminal activity (which in this case was rather hard to hide) should wake up the boys and girls of the IRS. Could prove quite entertaining to give them a heads up on Mr Wallace because they've got MUCH sharper teeth and far more resources to start digging.

If they go after Wallace he better moves..

This guy is enticing minors to gamble. That is illegal in most states. All it takes is one good county prosecutor and a bit of evidence and this man could end up in jail. All it should take is one ambitious lawyer that wants to make State Attorney General and a concerned parent who's kid got in appropriate advertisements. There are even places where offering Viagra to kids near a school can get life in jail so parents, start letting the local DA know about the email your kids get.

Do what they do to hackers, take away their pc's and then ban them from using them - then if he does, shoot the bastard.

The real reason MySpace filed suit is that they don't like competition: if anyone gets to spam MySpace members, it had damn well better be MySpace.

I think this suggestion won't work - only the French seem to regard as OK the destruction of the peaceful life of atolls for our extravagant western ways. I regard spammers as somewhere below nuclear testing on the scale of human acts which the universe would be better off without, and think this would be very fair to inflict on a poor innocent island.

Why not do it the American way and pitch him out of a space station into a decaying orbit? He likes gambling so much, maybe he will get picked up by a passing UFO in the seconds before his body explodes.

Why not just lock him in a concrete box with no sustenance except for a million tins of Spam?

Oddly enough after reading this article I started getting lot of spam from Face Book from people I do not know inviting me to be their friends. Some of these were sent to no-existent addresses on my domain.

So has Spamford moved to Facebook now?

I've noticed a huge resurgence in spam the last two weeks or so; has he decided to go back to 'ordinary' emails again?

Let us all pool together and hire a professional for the job.

These vermins need to be taken care of.

I know spam is one of the most annoying things in the world, everytime I check my emails, 80% of it is spam, causing me to spend £600 / year on a spam filter for Exchange at the office.

I think what would entertain me the most, is printing it all of, and sending every one in a seperate envelope through snail mail to the sender. and then if everyone was to do that every day, they'd probably soon stop, I know I get in excess of 50 spam emails per day offering me a larger penis, some viagra so I can "stay up all night" - not that I need this, I rarely sleep anyway and "h0t chikz" i'm guessing for after i've taken the viagra. These of course are the emails that annoy me the most, opening my inbox to find emails like this, I find degrading and insulting. sending them all 1 by 1 back to the senders physical address through snail mail, would probably make me happy! ( though if any one does that, make sure you don't put a reply address on the letter )

Put him on the desert island with an incoming-only email feed, a single red flare cartridge, and a webcam.

Tell him that sometime in the next 5 years he'll get an email saying that he will be released, and when he receives it he must fire the red flare within 4 hours, or he'll blow his chance.

Subscribe him to every spammer on the planet.

Sit back, watch, and enjoy...

I think he should be jailed and force fed meals consisting only of spam for 2 months, and made to clean his cell if he happens to "lose" any.

Talk about the punishment fitting the crime.
