Apple will always have plenty of money to spend on "media" iPhone PIMPING..

... because the cash RICHEST company in the Tech Industry, the one that makes the most outrageous profits (like the Big Oil Industries) has NEVER PAID A SINGLE STINKING CENT of Stock Dividends from their profits to their stock holders. Oh but Stevie and his crew of limousine liberal executives DO GET special treatment on Stock Options don't they .... and how about that $80 Mil Private Carbon Polluting Jet Stevie got from Apple???

Keep it up 'Ol Reg, keep taking about the iPhone ... the checks in the mail.

Microsoft didn't pay dividends either

Microsoft didn't pay dividends for the first 15 years either. Some companies invest the dividends in the company to increase growth.

We buy windows don't we

>So what you're saying is, that it's perfectly acceptable to purchase a product that does not work acceptably or as advertised, because "sometime in the near future, the supplier might bother to release an update that resolves this"<

Don't have any feelings one way or the other about the iPhone, other than complete confusion over the mindset which has people investing their time blogging about what it isn't. But isn't this akin to buying any Windows OS before SP3 ? Isn't this the same as buying a Treo (I own one) etc which just don't seem to work quite right until the 2nd or 3rd patch.

Returned iPhone

Sounds to me that the El Reg allowable expenses budget for an IPhone review was, let's say, $115.

iPhone, XDA, whats the difference?

Not ment as sarcasm, I would like a genuine answer to this. I was comparing between the iPhone and my PDA and it got me wondering, they do most of the same things, jus no phone on the PDA. But an XDA is technically a computer and phone intergrated, like the iPhone. So what are the real differences between the two?
