"You're stuffed," our friendly Sparky says, stepping back from our switchboard and putting his clamp meter away. "Stuffed - and that's a technical term?" the Boss asks sarcastically. "Yep!" the Sparky replies. "So what does it mean then?" the Boss continues. "It MEANS," the PFY says, "that there's no more capacity in the …

Amusing as always but a tech-head should know breakers aren't rated in KVA

RE: Tut tut

Technically, they are not. But as the mains voltage is known, and the breakers are rated in amps, it's easy to calculate the power rating.

Is there a technical reason why the BoFH isn't in the RSS Feed?

Neither the main one nor the Odds & Sods.

He should have his own feed!

Think Steganosaurus Rex for the Feel of IT.

BOFH RSS the hard way

The BOFH doesn't have his own feed per se but Simon Travaglia does -- and all he's done since I subscribed is BOFH. Here's the URL.

BOFH not available in feeds

Thanks for your interest in the Bastard Operator from Hell. Simon Travaglia, the author of BOFH, has asked us to remove links to his articles from our RSS feeds. We will not restore the BOFH RSS feeds without his permission.

Who can't count?

Out of interest, what happened to episodes 13 and 19?

Episodes 13 and 19

They are still there if you know the URLs

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/04/20/bofh_episode_13/

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/06/01/bofh_episode_19/

I wanted to link to episode 13 recently for a geeky friend and so I had to go searching for it ... but it's linked from Simon's RSS feed ...

Re: Episodes 13 and 19

For some reason, random past episodes get pushed back under the "Ealier Stories..." link at the bottom of the page. There's 1, 13, and 19 there. Dunno why it's happening, but it does.
