    Austrians been there done that!

My "Mr Peabody's" way back machine(wikipedia) , indicated those dreaded Austrian Capitalists in 1985 utilized the self same substance to enhance the sweetness of the local crap lousy export wine vintage of that year(one needed to drink the equivalent minimum of 28 bottles of wine per day for a period of 28 days to obtain the fatal dose accumulation , never mind the liver damage driving or work impairment from that much alcohol)

And again in Bangladesh which resulted the deaths of at least 339 children from contaminated paracetamol in 1990 !

Ah sadly , the Chinese appear to copying those evil Austrian Capitalists , some two decades after the fact!

Sadly as for all food we eat today , additive contamination is done by numbers anyway! , it's all on the label on every can and package food we eat along with the excessive sugar and salt levels to hide the normal crap artificial nature and cardboard taste the product would have , without these taste extenders!

Of the numbers , will always win out in the end!
