    Don't use it

    "Furthermore, Google does not provide any 'opt-out' option to its users who do not want Google to store their search terms."

    People choose to use google, you opt out by not using it. I am not saying what they do is right, but their are hundreds of other options out there if google's data retention worries you.

    So - flamin' - what?!

    I just don't get these bleeding hearts...

    If you don't like what they're doing, don't use them for searches and bar doubleclick sourced images and scripts!

    Personally, if Google wants to put 2+2 together regarding my IP address and clicking habits, more power to them, maybe i'll see an ad someday thats actually relevant and click on it. (Though I kinda doubt it.)

    So long as I don't receive personally addressed electronic or snail mail suggesting that because I was searching for asian porn, might I be interested in [enter product here] then I really couldn't give a damn!
